Michelle is dedicated to improving local government with her work on the Committee. Her portfolio with the Committee on Human Services includes the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services. With other committees, Michelle’s work encompasses judiciary and public safety issues, government operations and matters that come before the Committee of the Whole. Prior to joining the Council Member's office, she worked on several campaigns around the country and in the District. Michelle holds a J.D. from Wayne State University Law School and a B.A. from the University of Detroit Mercy where she majored in Finance. She formerly practiced as an attorney focusing on criminal law and juvenile justice.
